Miranchuk swaps Atalanta for Atlanta in €15m deal

MLS outfit Atlanta United have announced the signing of Russian international Alexey Miranchuk from Europa League holders Atalanta.

The deal to take him from Bergamo to Georgia is worth a reported €15m.

The attacking midfielder has signed a three-year deal which includes an option for a further season.

Throughout Miranchuk’s spell in Europe across Lokomotiv Moscow, Torino and Atalanta, he registered 63 goals and 70 assists across all competitions.

In addition, the 28-year-old has also collected 45 Russia caps to date.
