Miralem Pjanic turned down Chelsea switch for Barcelona

Chelsea came close to signing Miralem Pjanic before he joined Barcelona.

The Blues offered Jorginho to Juventus for the classy midfielder, according to Fabrizio Romano on the Here We Go podcast.

But Juve dropped their interest in Jorginho after Maurizio Sarri was sacked by the club.

Pjanic instead joined Barca for €65 m, with Arthur Melo the opposite way to Turin.

Frank Lampard is a huge fan of Pjanic, but the 30-year-old ultimately wanted to join the Spanish giants.
