Juventus were left frustrated by Inter on Saturday as the two sides played out a 0-0 draw in the Derby d’Italia.
Miralem Pjanić certainly looked frustrated when he was substituted by his manager late on.
But the Bosnian midfielder insisted that there was nothing amiss between the pair.
“No, nothing happened, I just wanted to get off the field quickly to ensure the substitution was completed, as time was running out to win the game,” Pjanic told Mediaset.
However, he did admit that his team were not pleased with the result after having the better of the play.
He said: “The disappointment of the team in the locker room was evident, as we were the stronger side on the field and didn’t take our chances.
“Inter are a good side, tough, have quality and I know Luciano Spalletti’s work well. It’s a pity, as we were superior on the night and could’ve done more to win.”
The result will have implications in what remains a very tight race of the Scudetto.
“Now we have to keep looking forward and pick up more points,” Pjanic urged.
“I see this as two dropped points, as Inter never really had scoring opportunities. They are having an extraordinary season and if the top teams keep this tempo, then the Scudetto won’t be decided until the end.
“Juventus have always respected our opponents, but we end this game fully aware that we should’ve won and the ball just wouldn’t go in.
“We want to continue dominating in Serie A, we want this seventh straight Scudetto and will give our all.”
