It has been widely documented how close Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is to becoming a free agent. The Frenchman is out of contract at Old Trafford next summer and still, with no sign of renewal, fans have been left to sweat on the 2018 World Cup winner’s long-term future.

The latest in the ongoing saga comes directly from super-agent Mino Raiola, who has recently admitted that his star client could return to former club Juventus next summer.

Pogba, 28, has started the new 2021-22 season in excellent form and has already assisted seven goals in his first four Premier League matches.

However, despite having double-figure direct goal contributions well within his sights, the 28-year-old continues to see his long-term future heavily debated and Raiola has done nothing to ease the relentless speculation.

Speaking recently to RaiSport, with the quotes transcribed by Corriere dello Sport, the super-agent, when quizzed on Pogba’s future, said: “Pogba’s contract expires next year. We will talk to Manchester and see.

“For sure Turin has remained in his heart and he cares a lot about these things. The possibility of returning to Juventus is there but it also depends on Juve…”

Since re-signing for the Red Devils in 2016, Pogba has gone on to feature in 211 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to an impressive 87 goals, along the way.
