UEFA have confirmed that Milorad Mažić will take charge of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool later this month.

The Serbian official has been involved in refereeing European matches since 2009 and took charge of Germany’s Confederations Cup final victory over Chile last year.

The 45-year-old, who has also been selected for this summer’s World Cup, has previously in charge of Los Blancos when they won the European Super Cup against Sevilla in 2016.

Madrid reached this month’s final in Kyiv after victories over Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich, and they will now face Liverpool, who last won the trophy in 2005.
