James Milner turned on Liverpool teammate Virgil van Dijk during defeat at Manchester United last night.

Milner has furiously ranted at Virgil van Dijk for his defending after Jadon Sancho scored for Manchester United in their 2-1 win.

The England winger turned Reds midfielder Milner the wrong way, with Van Dijk standing off, before finding the bottom corner to give the hosts a deserved 1-0 lead against their bitter rivals at Old Trafford on Monday night.

And Milner angrily blasted his team-mate - before being mocked by some fans for being 'sent back to Leeds' by Sancho's dummy in the build-up to the goal.

Footage appears to show the veteran midfielder saying "you go f***ing out to him!".

Calling the game, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said: "Something's going on with James Milner and Virgil van Dijk.

"They've been at each other around 10 or 15 seconds now, screaming at each other.

"There's obviously a lot of frustration out there on that pitch, and rightly so. Milner was having a go at him after the first goal and they're still going at it now."
