Millwall have pulled out of the race to sign Aberdeen midfielder Lewis Ferguson, according to a report from The Press and Journal.
It is understood that whilst four other clubs are still pursuing a deal for the 22-year-old, the Lions will not be adding him to their current squad this summer.
A report from Sky Sports earlier this month revealed that Millwall had submitted a bid of £1.5m for the midfielder in an attempt to secure his services.
This offer was rejected by Aberdeen due to the fact it was well below their valuation of the Scotland international.
Ferguson’s current contract at Aberdeen runs until 2024 and thus they will be in no rush to sell him this summer despite interest from elsewhere.
Millwall recently bolstered their squad by making three signings.
Zian Flemming joined the Lions for an undisclosed fee last weekend whilst George Honeyman and Benik Afobe both sealed permanent moves to The Den yesterday.
Manager Gary Rowett will be hoping that this trio will be able to make a positive impact for Millwall when the season gets underway next month.

The Verdict
When you consider that Millwall have added to their options in the heart of midfield by signing Flemming and Honeyman, it is hardly a surprise that they are no longer pursuing a move for Ferguson.
Whereas the midfielder unquestionably possesses a great deal of talent, the Lions may have had to submit a huge offer in order to convince Aberdeen to part ways with him this summer.
Millwall have opted to switch their attention to signing a new centre-back following the arrival of Afobe, Flemming and Honeyman.
No longer able to call upon the services of Alex Pearce and Daniel Ballard, the Lions have recently been linked
