Millwall have reportedly set a staggering £9 million price tag on Nottingham Forest target Jed Wallace.
According to the Daily Express, the Reds will need to stump up £9 million if they are to persuade their play-off rivals to part ways with winger Wallace.
So far the Reds have been turned down by Millwall as this transfer saga rages on. The Daily Express also mentions that it could go down to the wire as the two clubs look to find an agreement over the player.
Wallace’s contract is up at the end of the season, meaning he will be available to leave on a free transfer in the Summer.
Wallace didn’t feature for Millwall last weekend as the two sides actually faced each other at The Den last weekend.

Nottingham Forest came out on top thanks to a last minute winner from former Millwall player Lewis Grabban.
Millwall are now five points adrift of 10th place Forest and are directly below them in the table in 11th.
Gary Rowett’s side next play away at Blackpool, who are 12th on January 22. The two sides are level on points as it stands, however Millwall do have a game in hand on the Tangerines.
The Verdict
The £9 million figure has surely been set by Millwall in a bid to move Forest on from their pursuit of Wallace.
Considering he will be available for nothing in the Summer, it would be outlandish to spend that much just to bring him into the team now.
However, Forest may have to compete with other clubs in the Summer to secure his signing, which is why they must want him now.
This one will almost assuredly go down to deadline day, and it may need Wallace taking matters into his own hands to get this deal over the line by January 31.
