Millwall have ‘financially pushed the boat out’ to get a deal done for Middlesbrough attacker Josh Coburn, according to the South London Press.

The forward has been a top target for Lions boss Neil Harris, who wants more weapons to use in the final third.

Millwall have now managed to get a loan deal for Coburn over the line, although it is unclear if he has been registered in time to play at the weekend.

The deal for the 21-year-old has required a significant financial outlay on the part of Millwall.

It is suggested that Millwall ‘financially pushed the boat out’ in order to get the deal over the line.

Coburn has played just five minutes of football over Middlesbrough’s Championship games so far this season.

He did though feature for Boro in the EFL Cup and found the back of the net against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Harris will be looking to see Coburn now hit the ground running at the Den.
