Fiorentina and Nottingham Forest are hoping to have a deal for Serbia international Nikola Milenkovic wrapped up on Tuesday, as the two parties have now agreed a fee and are into the final details of negotiations.
According to reports from Alfredo Pedulla and Gianluca Di Marzio, the Premier League side are prepared to pay an initial fee of €12m plus bonuses for the 26-year-old’s services.
The player is currently under contract in Tuscany for a further three seasons, until the summer of 2027.
Lawyers from both Fiorentina and Nottingham Forest are now discussing the finer details of the move, but hope to have their work wrapped up by tomorrow.
Milenkovic has spent the vast majority of his senior career with La Viola, originally joining from Partizan in the summer of 2017, when he was just 20 years old.
Since then, he has gone on to make well over 200 top flight appearances, and played for just shy of 4000 minutes last season as Fiorentina reached their second successive Conference League final.
