Nottingham Forest have made contact with Fiorentina to start discussing a possible move for defender Nikola Milenkovic, reports detail.
The Viola have started a new project under coach Raffaele Palladino and have already been active in the summer transfer window, snapping up Moise Kean from Juventus and working to finalise a deal for Boca Juniors starlet Nicolas Valentini.
Milenkovic has continued to quietly impress at Fiorentina, having been targeted in the past by a number of clubs including Inter, West Ham and Juventus. Having been in Florence since July 2017, he may decide now is the right time for a new adventure.
Gianluca Di Marzio details how Nottingham Forest have opened talks with Fiorentina to start exploring a possible move for Milenkovic this summer, seriously interested in securing a deal for the 26-year-old.
The Serbian centre back, who saw almost 4000 minutes of action last season for the Viola, is contracted to the club until June 2027.
