Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to break a prestigious Serie A record today by being the oldest player ever in the league to score a goal, if he does find the back of the net today.

41-year-old Ibrahimovic has been an imposing figure throughout his career at numerous clubs and he continues to inspire not only the players around his age but also the younger generations that determination and grit can make them play football nonstop.

An icon of the game, the Swedish stalwart was recently called up for International duty by his national team. Despite being injured for most parts of the season, Ibrahimovic is a character which every team craves and a leader who always has the mentality to win whenever he steps onto the pitch.

There is much anticipation that the forward may start the match in Milan’s encounter against Udinese tonight. This will be the chance for Zlatan to break a marvellous Serie A record. If he scores, he would become the league’s oldest goalscorer ever at 41 years, 5 months and 15 days.

Ibrahimovic would be surpassing another Rossoneri legend Alessandro Costacurta who scored his final goal in the Serie A at the age of 41 years and 25 days in a similar clash between Milan and Udinese on May 19, 2007.
