Milan could promote teenagers Silvano Vos and Kevin Zeroli to the first-team set-up in the near future to cover the gap left by the recently-injured Ismael Bennacer, according to recent reports.
Bennacer was injured while on international duty with Algeria and is expected to miss around three to four months of action while he recovers.
The Rossoneri have no intention of diving back into the free agent market, to cover Bennacer, even if summer target Adrien Rabiot is still available. Instead, they will look to promote from within and have two candidates who are raring for an opportunity in the first team.
La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that summer signing Vos is the most likely Milan Futuro midfielder to feature for Paulo Fonseca’s first team in the near future.
The former Ajax youngster joined Milan towards the end of the summer, and has recently made his Italian debut in Serie C with the Futuro side, coming on as a half-time substitute in the 1-1 draw with Athletic Carpi on September 1.
La Gazzetta dello Sport hints that his bow with the Milan first-team could be ‘very soon,’ albeit due to the circumstances.
Reports earlier in the week suggested that Zeroli could also be given a go with the Rossoneri first-team squad, particularly if there are any further fitness, injury or suspension concerns in the coming weeks.
