Electrifying Nice winger Allan Saint-Maximin has been on Milan’s radar for quite some time and according to Calciomercato, Milan sporting director Leonardo has now made contact with the French club.
According to the publication, Nice value the 22-year-old at €35m despite less-than-ideal relations with manager Patrick Vieira.
However, it appears Milan are dependent on two things to make the transfer a reality: qualifying for the Champions League and getting Nice to lower their asking price.
Milan are currently in fifth place and have three games to make up a three-point deficit. Fourth-placed Atalanta also have a massive lead in goal difference.
In 31 Ligue 1 contests this season, the France U-21 international has scored six goals and contributed four assists to the cause.
