Milan have almost managed to get two more transfers across the line in the final hours of the transfer window, working to send Chaka Traore to Palermo and Marco Pellegrino to Salernitana.

Calciomercato.com details how Salernitana had agreed to sign Pellegrino from Milan on a six-month loan deal, but everything hit a standstill due to FIFA regulations, which stipulated that the defender had technically already played for two clubs this season, having featured in Argentina back in July.

After appeals from Milan’s lawyers, the FIGC and the AFA, FIFA have now approved the exemption authorising Pellegrino’s transfer to Salernitana, accepting that the dates of the Argentine championship mean his appearances in July technically constitute as last season.

For Traore, he won’t be heading to Lausanne-Sport or West Brom, despite their interest, as Palermo have convinced the teenager to accept the move to Sicily. The deal will be a six-month loan with a €10m buy option attached and a 15% future resale clause.
