Inter defender Milan Skriniar is aiming to be fit and available for the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia semifinal second leg match against Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old is hoping to be at least available for the bench in next week’s clash with the Bianconeri, with the Champions League tie against Benfica the main target for match-fitness.

Skriniar will not be available for this weekend’s Serie A match against Fiorentina as he is still some days away from returning to full training.

However, the former Sampdoria defender’s condition is showing improvements as he works on an individual recovery program for his back injury.

According to the Gazzetta, the timeline that the club are targeting his to have Skriniar fit to at least appear on the bench against Juventus next week, in anticipation of being match-fit for the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal tie against Benfica.
