Serie A giants Milan are now set to announce new deals for club stars Tijjani Reijnders and Mike Maignan.
There have been question marks about the goalkeeper’s future over the last few months and it was suggested that Reijnders was nearing a new deal.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have now reported that negotiations have accelerated in recent weeks, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Giorgio Furlani having reached hard to arrive at the finishing line. The last handshakes and the announcements are missing.
Both players have never thought about joining other clubs and while Reijnders was attracting big interest from other sides, he always had a heart set on Milan.
Maignan’s salary will go from €3.2 million to €5 million, with the deal expiring in 2029. Bonuses will be added to the deal too, with Reijnders set to have his salary doubled from €1.7 million per season to €3.5 million per season.
For both, Milan will be able to continue to take advantage of the benefits of the Growth Decree and above all will continue to count on two top players capable of making the difference in Serie A and the Champions League.
