After a closely contested first half, the Rossoneri struck for the only goal of it in injury time when Brahim Díaz, with the aid of a fortunate ricochet, found a yard in the area and curled an unstoppable strike high into the net.

And Millan should have had a second before the hour-mark only for this season’s penalty woes to haunt them again as Franck Kessie saw his poor attempt saved easily.

However, they weren’t punished for that miss and wrapped up the win in the closing stages when the injured Zlatan Ibrahimović’s replacement Ante Rebić came on to pick out the postage stamp with a glorious curler.

The victory was rubber-stamped as the Rossoneri ran riot in the remainder, with Fikayo Tomori planting a firm header home to massively ramp the pressure up on Juve and coach Andrea Pirlo.

As a result, Milan move up to third with three games remaining, two points ahead of Napoli, who are now a point ahead of the Old Lady in that all-important fourth place.
