Over the summer, many were left absolutely stunned after Everton paid a whopping €40m for Richarlison, a player that manager Marco Silva brought with him from Watford.

After scoring 12 goals and adding a pair of assists in 29 Premier League appearances this season, fans and pundits are lauding the transfer as one of the best pieces of business in England this campaign.

It’s no secret that Milan and their Brazilian sporting director Leonardo have been tracking the 21-year-old for some time now, as they attempted to lure him from Fluminense two years ago.

Now, they’ll have to pay a much, much higher price.

According to multiple sources in Italy, the reported €70m price tag that Everton has slapped on Richarlison has ‘frightened’ manager Gennaro Gattuso.

Even if Milan earn around €50m for qualifying for next season’s Champions League, much of that will reportedly go toward securing Tiémoué Bakayoko’s services from Chelsea.

His release clause is said to be €35m, though Milan will try to negotiate to lower the price.
