According to Sky Sport Italia, Milan will recall Divock Origi from Nottingham Forest and immediately sell him to LAFC for €5m.

The former Liverpool striker had joined them as a free agent in the summer of 2022 and made very little impact at San Siro.

He was sent on loan to Nottingham Forest this season with an option to buy for €5m, but struggled there too.

In just nine Premier League appearances, only two of which were in the starting XI, the Belgium international failed to find the net or contribute an assist.

Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims this evening that it is not yet done, but a deal is very close for Origi to move to Major League Soccer.

The 28-year-old would first interrupt the Nottingham Forest experience, then join LAFC on loan with an obligation to buy for €5m.

That would still represent a tidy profit for the Rossoneri, who feared being stuck with his salary until June 2026.

Other MLS sides had also been linked with Origi, specifically FC Cincinnati and FC Dallas.
