Milan have qualified for their first ever UEFA Youth League Final, which will be against Olympiacos, after beating FC Porto on penalties.

The Rossoneri coached by Ignazio Abate reached this phase of the competition, the youth equivalent of the Champions League, by eliminating Real Madrid in the last round on penalties.

They took an early lead in Nyon this evening with Filippo Scotti pouncing on a defensive error to smash a rocket under the crossbar just 12 minutes in.

However, Porto turned it around from the penalty spot with Jorge Meireles due to a Davide Bartesaghi flailing arm and Gabriel Bras making up for his earlier howler.

They also rattled the woodwork with Rodrigo Mora, while Alexander Simmelhack’s back-heel flick was not the best idea on a Bartesaghi cross.

Clinton Nsiala even performed a goal-line clearance in the final minutes on Gil Martins, which allowed Milan to equalise at the 93rd with Simmelhack on a Kevin Zeroli assist.

It went to a penalty shoot-out, just like against Real Madrid, and Milan won to secure their first ever Youth League Final against Olympiacos.

That is scheduled for Monday evening.
