Friday’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) has focused on AC Milan’s youth sector since 2009.

Ten years ago Silvio Berlusconi decided to re-organise the Primavera – entrusting Filippo Galli and Mauro Bianchessi – after the youth sector had produced practically no players for the first team in the years previous.

The results came fast as they won the Italian Cup and the Scudetto, having been led by Bryan Cristante and Andrea Petagna, now at Roma and SPAL respectively.

Simone Verdi and Mattia De Sciglio were the first ones after that date to really crack first team football, and in terms of current ‘stars’ in world football there is of course Gianluigi Donnarumma and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Tuttosport have given their top 11 of the last 10 years…

MILAN (4-3-1-2): Donnarumma; Calabria, Darmian, Gabbia, De Sciglio; Cristante, Locatelli, Valoti; Verdi; Cutrone, Aubameyang.
