Milan Primavera 2-3 Cremonese: Second-half collapse leads to bad defeat

The afternoon started brilliantly for Milan Primavera against Cremonese, but a second-half collapse condemned them to a defeat.

Christian Comotto opened the scoring when he tapped in a rebound from a Stalmach shot, but the chance was almost fluffed as he was certainly disturbed a little by the slippery and particularly treacherous pitch due to the heavy rain.

Less than a minute after the restart Alessandro Bonomi doubled the lead for Milan from a corner kick with his fifth goal of the campaign. There were some complaints from the away side as the goalkeeper Malovec said that he was impeded by the striker.

With 20 minutes left, the comeback began from the visitors. The first was a great goal by Gabbiani, with his left foot shot kissing the crossbar and beating Mastrantonio for what was already his 10th goal of the season.

Then, a few minutes later, Nahrudnyy equalised for Cremonese with what was another fantastic finish. Ten minutes after Gabbiani had halved the deficit he completed the comeback scoring with an acrobatic effort from inside the box.

After the defeats against Bayer Leverkusen and Bologna – both 3-1 – before the international break, it is not an ideal resumption for Federico Guidi’s side, who will give themselves further ground to make up to the top teams.
