Following the 4-2 win against Udinese in the opening game of the season, the AC Milan players have been granted a day off. This was confirmed by the club after today’s session at Milanello.

Given that it’s still early in the season, Milan have a lot that they can improve for the upcoming games and Stefano Pioli is aware of this. On the other hand, rest is important in order to avoid any early injuries.

Today, the players that started last night’s game trained in the gym, while the others played a friendly against the Primavera team. As written on the official website, the players will have tomorrow off and training will resume on Tuesday.

Milan will face Atalanta in the next round, scheduled for Sunday evening. It will take place at Gewiss Stadium and it won’t be a walk in the park for the Rossoneri, even though they have good memories from that stadium in recent times.
