Serie A giants Milan have been offered a chance to sign Shakhtar Donetsk defender Marlon, who is currently on loan at Fluminense.

The Rossoneri wanted to sign a defender this month but they haven’t made progress in that department. But with deadline day running out, they could end the window without having signed a new centre-back.

Sportitalia’s Gianluigi Longari has reported that former Sassuolo defender Marlon could become a last minute option for the club. The 28-year-old, who is on loan at Fluminense, has been offered to Milan this month. The move is difficult because of the limited time left, but there remains a possibility.

It isn’t known whether Milan are interested in the Brazilian but a possibility of a move remains.

The 28-year-old has made 22 appearances in all competitions for Flu and he also played twice in the Club World Cup recently. For Sassuolo, he played 66 times. As part of the Barcelona youth academy, he made three appearances for the Catalan giants’ first team as well.
