There is just one thing sports fans are talking about in Italy right now: tennis star Jannik Sinner, who has received congratulatory messages from Serie A clubs and players after beating Novak Djokovic in an Australian Open semifinal.
Sinner has become the fifth Italian male tennis player to reach a Grand Slam singles final, the first to do so at the Australian Open.
Even in a country where football is by far the most popular sport, every media is only talking about Sinner on Friday morning after seeing the 22-year-old beat Djokovic three sets to one in the semifinals.
