Charles De Ketelaere touched on his ‘good season’ on loan at Atalanta as a possible return to Milan in the summer nears.

The 23-year-old Belgian forward has continued to impress under Gian Piero Gasperini this term and was again on the scoresheet in their 2-1 win over Monza on Sunday evening, netting the opening goal at the U-Power Stadium.

De Ketelaere joined Atalanta from Milan on a €3m loan deal with a circa €22-23m buy option attached, leaving his future a little uncertain ahead of the summer transfer window. Earlier this month, he admitted he wasn’t too keen on the idea of a return to the Rossoneri.

Speaking to DAZN via TMW following Atalanta’s win over Monza, De Ketelaere first discussed his strong campaign in Bergamo.

“I feel good, but all the forwards make the difference. I’ve been feeling good for a while now, I have to keep playing like this.”

He was then asked about his future ahead of the summer.

“We’re having a good season, we’ll finish this one and see.”

De Ketelaere emerged as an exciting talent at Club Brugge but failed to replicate that with Milan, failing to score and providing just one assist across 40 matches. His confidence has grown significantly under Gasperini, allowing him to show off his potential again.
