Milan are due to meet with potential candidates for their vacant sporting director role in the coming days, including former Juventus and Tottenham executive Fabio Paratici, who could help the Rossoneri in their attempts to convince Massimiliano Allegri to take over from Sergio Conceicao.
The Rossoneri are actively looking for a new sporting director and are also understood to be sounding out potential replacements for Conceicao, who is increasingly likely to leave his job at the end of the 2024-25 season.
There are two firm favourites for the Milan sporting director role, namely Paratici and former Lazio director Igli Tare.
La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests, however, that Milan are leaning towards an Italian revolution, which puts the odds in Paratici’s favour. Milan’s lack of Italian representatives in their playing and coaching staff has become a reason for ridicule in Italy over recent seasons.

If Paratici becomes the new sporting director in San Siro, then it is reasonable to expect links with Allegri to intensify as well, given their long-standing Juventus connection. The Rossoneri are also looking at coaches with the goal of returning to the Serie A title fight next season.
It would, of course, be a return to Milan for Allegri, who was in charge between 2010 and 2014, which is also seen as a benefit as the Rossoneri are reportedly seeking coaches who are already familiar with Serie A, and ideally the set-up at Milanello.
