Rafael Leao’s latest injury means nine Milan players are currently unavailable, so here’s a recap on the situation and when each player could return to action.

Leao suffered a muscle injury during the first half of a Serie A game against Hellas Verona on Friday and is due to undergo further medical checks to learn his recovery time.

Milan will host Roma at San Siro on December 29 in the last game of the year, while 2025 begins on January 3 with a Supercoppa semifinal against Juventus.

Morata – Missed the Verona game with tonsillitis, expected to return to action in the next game against Roma.

Rafael Leao – Muscular problem. Expected to miss the next match against Roma as a flexor injury was confirmed on Saturday.

Pulisic – Calf injury, Milan hope he’s available in the next match, but a return against Juventus on January 3 is more likely.

Okafor – Calf injury. Longer recovery time than Pulisic. Should be back at the end of January.

Loftus-Cheek – Femoral bicep injury, could be back against Roma.

Bennacer – Returned to group training today, will be back against Roma or Juventus.

Jovic – Underwent surgery to recover from recurring groin injuries. Will probably return against Juventus.

Musah – Muscle injury, unlikely to be back against Roma.

Florenzi – Recovering from a cruciate ligament injury, expected to be back in mid-February.
