Milan Futuro won their first official game of the season, taking all the marbles in the Preliminary Round of the Serie D Coppa Italia against Trevigliese: it finished 2-0 to Oddo's boys at the Chinetti, thanks to second-half goals from captain Duțu and Quirini. These goals secured victory in an authoritative and dominant Rossoneri performance, coming up with a variety of chances without giving up very much at the other end.
After weeks of hard work at Milanello, and several friendlies, the official season began in the best of ways, achieving qualification against a side returning to Group D of Serie D after 26 years of absence. The Rossoneri always seemed in control, and even handed out a few debuts, both from kick-off and from the bench. Now, onto the next game, which will see Oddo's team head to Gozzano next weekend, once again in the Coppa Italia.

MATCH REPORT The Rossoneri began as a 4-3-3, and the first chance came in the 7th minute, when the visitors' defence succeeded in closing Bonomi down as he burst through on goal. In the 17th minute, Sia switched it out to Quirini, who crossed into the middle: Sala touched it down and let fly, but Maccherini saved. Travigliese weren't causing too many problems, with just a few half-hearted efforts, but just after, in the 23rd minute, Eletu and Sia worked to get it into Victor, who fired wide off his right boot. Just before the break, the Rossoneri had another chance: in the 40th minute, Bonomi's inviting cross wasn't converted by neither Sia, nor Magrassi. There were no changes at the break, and at the end of some more great work between Sia and Eletu, the latter of the two just fired over. In the 54th minute, another great chance, with Magrassi forcing the keeper into a great save from Quirini's cross. Trevigliese then had their first chance, with Vinzioli's header flying just over in the 63rd minute. The Rossoneri then reacted with Magrassi having two chances before the goal eventually came in the 69th minute with Duțu rising the highest from the corner kick. The boys then doubled their lead in the 75th minute, with Qurini's strike on the edge of the area deflecting past the goalkeeper. Milan Futuro were in control and were close to a third twice, but our goal was ruled out as Magrassi was offside, and then Balentien missed his chance in the 89th minute. Trevigliese tried to draw one back through Montalbano in added time, but Bouyer's outstanding save secured our 2-0 victory!
