AC Milan Futuro denied a perfect weekend for the club, as they fell to defeat against Virtus Entella on Sunday afternoon – leaving the side 18th in Serie C.

With Francesco Camarda back in the starting lineup for the Futuro side, there may have been some optimism heading into the game against Entella, even if the visitors are challenging at the top end of the table. However, this did not come to fruition.

The first half was, as expected, dominated by the visiting side, but the young Rossoneri did not give up any ground in the game, even if they conceded a few chances. Despite not getting into the game themselves, it certainly was not a bad thing to be level at the break against a side fighting for the title.

Unfortunately, seven minutes into the second half, things changed with Entella taking the lead through Zukic.

10 minutes later, Daniele Bonera opted to bring Kevin Zeroli into the game, as well as Gabriele Alesi, and the former did exactly what the coach would have hoped; levelling the game shortly after entering the pitch with a set-piece header.

Unfortunately, five minutes later the visitors re-took the lead through Corbari, and the Diavolo failed to get themselves back into the game.

Another frustrating result for the Futuro side, and there can be no excuses made about the talent available to Bonera with Camarda, Sia, Liberali and Zeroli all named in the squad. A distance still remains between the Futuro and the top-level sides in the division.
