AC Milan Futuro won their third game in a row today, and the jubilation is that much greater as it has come against a Ternana side who have been fighting for promotion.
There has been an awful lot said about the Futuro project this season, and for the most part, it has seemed like a bit of a failure, but today’s result shows that something is being built; it just needed time.
Despite taking control of the first ten minutes, Milan were largely behind in the first half, and were made to work to keep the game level, with the opposition having more than a few chances to get themselves ahead.
However, it would be the young Rossoneri team who would edge ahead before the half-time interval, after a few decent chances. Camarda drove down the line before making a perfect cross into Quirini, who nodded home well, as seen below.
The second half, as expected, was dominated by Ternana, who looked to take something from the game, but they were unable to, with Nava making some huge saves to keep Milan’s advantage.
In the 79th minute, though, the biggest save of them all arrived, as the goalkeeper saved a spot kick, and this was enough to see off the opposition.
This all comes with Jovan Kirovski in attendance this afternoon, a huge result, and there will certainly be a lot of positives to take from the win.
