Milan face competition from Olympique Lyonnais for left-back Junior Firpo, who is available as a free agent after leaving Leeds United.
The Dominican international saw his contract run down and it will expire on June 30, despite helping Leeds to promotion into the Premier League.
He had already been linked with a potential move to Milan over the last few seasons, but the price-tag was always an issue.

They can now sweep him up as a free agent, but transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano warns that Olympique Lyonnais have just made a strong offer on personal terms.
Negotiations are in progress, with the Rossoneri risking being left behind, having only just hired new director of sport Igli Tare.

Junior Firpo might also depend on the decisions around Theo Hernandez, who is on the market and not eager to accept a move to Al-Hilal, and Real Madrid’s buy-back clause on Alex Jimenez.
He turns 29 in August and this season contributed four goals with 10 assists in 32 Championship appearances for Leeds United.
