Whilst the Rossonerri seek a world class striker signing within the summer market ahead of the upcoming season, Milan have earmarked Bayern Leverkusen star Victor Boniface as an ideal candidate.

Luca Bianchin of La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Nigerian forward is very much liked by coach Max Allegri’s side and is a profile that the Milanese club have been following for nine months now, with contacts having already been made with the 24 year-old’s entourage to understand the feasibility of the acquisition.

With the Rossonerri having identified several profiles as an ideal signing up-top such as Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus, Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez, and Matteo Retegui of Atalanta, Boniface has now emerged as a possible summer signing to enhance the quality and depth of the front-line.

Despite a hefty value of €30m-€40m for the rising star, a move away from the Bundesliga giants is very much possible as Boniface nearly departed Bayern Leverkusen in the winter transfer window, after having reached an agreement with Al Nassr.

Throughout last year’s season, Boniface tallied 8 goals and a single assist in 19 games-played in the Bundesliga. Despite a rough patch of injuries, Milan remain intrigued and are eager to try and land the Nigerian star.
