Milan could end up signing Atalanta star Josip Ilicic in the last week of the summer transfer window, as personal terms with the player have now been agreed.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported about Ilicic’s links with Milan, claiming that contacts between the player and the Rossoneri date back to April and he’s a player that Ricky Massara actually wanted during his time at Roma too. Stefano Pioli has worked with the Atalanta man at Fiorentina.

An agreement with Atalanta is yet to be reached but Milan want to sign Ilicic as a replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu. The Rossoneri want to wait for a few days before making a move so that they could get him for the best possible fee. As a result, it could happen in the last few days of the window.

Hakim Ziyech is also an option but only if Chelsea can let him leave on a loan deal. He is one of the younger alternatives to Ilicic.
