Even after signing Youssouf Fofana from AS Monaco, Milan could still pursue Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone, but only if Ismael Bennacer leaves first.

The Rossoneri have been very active on the transfer market this summer and had a particular eye on revamping the middle of the park.

After weeks of negotiations, they finally secured Fofana from AS Monaco for €20m plus bonuses, but that does not necessarily mean their shopping spree is over.

Manu Kone still on Milan radar

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Manu Kone has caught their eye as more than just an alternative to Fofana and could still move to San Siro.

However, there would only be one circumstance where that would be necessary, and it is the departure of Bennacer.

The Algeria international has received offers from the Saudi Pro League and could be tempted to accept one of them.

If that were to happen, then Milan could go in for Kone at a cost of €20m.

They also face potential competition from within Serie A, as Roma have also shown interest in the 23-year-old.
