After days of speculation, Milan have finally announced that the club have sacked Marco Giampaolo as coach.
He impressed with Empoli and Sampdoria in recent years to earn a shot at the Rossoneri job.
But his time there has been short-lived, with the Rossoneri announcing that the club have decided to part ways after a poor start to the season.
Milan have won just three and lost the rest of their opening seven games of the Serie A season.
Giampaolo’s sacking does come off the back of a win though, with Milan beating Genoa 2-1 in their final game before the international break.
He is expected to be replaced in the San Siro hot seat by Stefano Pioli, who will likely be announced on Tuesday.
