Fabrizio Romano reports that Joshua Zirkzee’s clause won’t be valid for the entire summer but must be paid by the beginning of August.

Milan and Manchester United have limited time to pay a €40m clause to sign Bologna star Zirkzee, which will be valid until the beginning of August, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The Dutch striker has emerged as a top priority for both clubs and Milan are ready prepared to match his exit clause.

However, talks with Zirkzee’s agent, Kia Joorabchia, are stalling as the Rossoneri are unwilling to pay a €15m commission demanded by the player’s representative.

Romano says that Manchester United are still deciding internally whether to bid for Zirkzee.

Another recent report from Sky Sport Italia claims the Red Devils’ coach, Erik ten Hag, is in direct contact with the 23-year-old, who is now his top transfer target in attack.

Zirkzee is part of the Netherlands squad at EURO 2024 but is among the most valuable players who are yet to make their debut in the competition.
