Former Manchester City team-mate Mikkel Bischoff has tipped Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel to make a ‘dream’ Manchester United switch, claiming that the 33-year-old would ‘do anything’ to become the newest member of the Red Devils.
Despite United having both David De Gea and breakout star Dean Henderson at their disposal, De Gea’s recent play has come into question, meaning the door could be open to a new ‘kid’ on the block.
“The most successful goalkeepers at the club in recent years have been well into their thirties. He can easily play three or four good years there.
“Schmeichel is a huge United fan. He always has been and always will be, it will be the biggest dream come true if he were to succeed (in joining United).
“If Kasper gets the opportunity to play just ten games for United, then he jumps.
“It’s simply so big for him. He is such a big fan that he will do anything to get to that club.”
Schmeichel has been at Leicester City since 2011, featuring 378 times for the Foxes and, of course, winning the 2014 Championship title and the 2016 Premier League title.
