Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is leaving no stone left unturned in the Gunners bid to win the Premier League this season.
The north London side finished just two points behind champions Manchester City last time out and are ready to challenge again with some new additions.
But Arteta is leaving nothing to chance and has turned to an unorthodox method to teach his squad a few lessons during pre-season.
A superb report in The Athletic on Thursday has claimed that the Arsenal coach hired a team of professional pickpockets to steal phones and wallets from his squad.
Arteta then asked the players to empty their pockets after dinner, with the team finding some of their personal effects missing.
The boss then unveiled the pickpockets and told his squad that they need to be ‘alert and prepared’ at all times over the coming campaign.
For those fans that have paid for a hot dog at the Emirates, you’ll know it’s not the first instance of daylight robbery at The Arsenal.
