On Wednesday, Miguel Herrera revealed to W Deportes that he will be signing a multi-year contract extension with Club América, though it wasn’t exactly clear what the terms of his new deal would be.
Now, it’s known that Piojo will spend many more years in charge of América extending his current legacy.
On Thursday, multiple Mexican outlets reported that the former Mexico manager will sign a deal that will keep him in Mexico City until 2023.
Though Herrera has led América to the Liguilla in each and every season in his two stints in charge of the club, América’s current home form will have many wondering if he’s the right man to take the club forward.
During his 249 matches in charge of the Eagles, Herrera’s sides have posted an impressive record of 131 wins, 59 draws, and 59 losses.
