It was only a matter of time before Miguel Herrera and Tigres would be linked to some of his former players at América and it appears he desires defensive help.
According to W Deportes, Piojo is keen on a reunion with Paraguay international centre-back Bruno Valdez.
Valdez has been highly criticised by Eagles supporters for his ill-timed defensive errors but Herrera believes he can get the best out of the player in Monterrey.
In exchange for Valdez, the Tigers would offer Luis Quiñones, who works as a left-winger and provided three goals and four assists last season.
However, only 10 foreigners are allowed per squad in Liga MX and América is already over the limit, so they would likely want a different player in exchange.
