Miguel Herrera was not disappointed despite América’s 1-0 defeat to León in the first leg of the Liguilla semi-finals.

Though he praised his attack, which outshot León 14-6, he was disappointed that they didn’t make the most of their opportunities.

“If we want to pass the ball around, we have to score,” Herrera said.

“It’s not about being offensive, it’s about being direct. Our team was offensive, we had the ball, and we anticipated our opponents.

Herrera also touched on the decision that Jorge Antonio Duran made when he decided that the contact Angel Mena made on the ball with his hand in the box was accidental.

“They did not give us a penalty and we also missed a lot in front of goal.”

The second leg will take place at the Estadio León on Sunday.
