Durham have completed the signing of midfielder Olivia Bramley on a free transfer.

The Wildcats announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website this evening.

Bramley joins Durham off the back of playing her football ‘Down Under’ in Australia. The 25-year-old has played for the likes of West Adelaide United, Heidelberg United and South Melbourne in recent years.

In the early days of her career, Bramley spent her youth with Leicester City before playing in the FA Women’s National League  system with local side Loughborough Foxes.

After sealing her move to Durham, Bramley said “I’m really excited to be part of the club.

“Everyone has been super-welcoming already and have made it a really easy and smooth transition for me to join.

“It’s a good challenge – but that’s what I came back to the UK looking for.

“I really want to take my game to the next level and I’m pleased that the work I’ve done in the shadows and behind-the-scenes has been recognised.”

Bramley has been allocated the shirt number four by Durham. She will be hoping to put her stamp on the deep midfield areas of the pitch in the remainder of the season.
