The whirlwind January transfer window continues as Borussia Dortmund have captured the loan signing of Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi.

Batshuayi will play for Dortmund for the remainder of the 2017/2018 season.

With Chelsea intent on bringing in a target-man to help carry Álvaro Morata’s load, Batshuayi’s opportunities at the club would be further reduced.

The Belgian has made only three Premier League starts this season, scoring just twice.

He has performed reasonably well in cup competitions, however, and Dortmund feel he is the man to fill the boots of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has joined Arsenal.

Batshuayi has five goals in eleven appearances for his country and he will be hoping that a return to form with Dortmund can land him a spot at the World Cup in Russia this summer.

He becomes the 21st player currently on loan from Chelsea after the temporary departures of Nathan, Kenedy, Baba Rahman and Charly Musonda this month.
