Michel tells Real Madrid: Forget buying striker; use money on 4-5 players | OneFootball

Former Real Madrid captain Michel says the current squad is well short of quality.

Michel, who has left his role as Pumas coach in Mexico, says Real need to make four top drawer additions in 2021.

He explained to AS: "There is a group of veterans and young players but in between I don't see people to consolidate that. I see the team with problems with definition capacity in the game, not in terms of goals. When the starting line-up passes thirty or is close to it, that loses them some rhythm, the surprise ... They don't do so much to dominate the rival."

Asked about buying a striker like PSG star Kylian Mbappe, Michel continued: "Use that money for four or five.

"Madrid need an injection of four or five players. In the last two years they've lost in the knockout stages of the Champions League. It needs a little more stability and that is achieved by strengthening the squad."
