In the last few years, the two Catalan clubs, FC Barcelona and Girona have been involved in a lot of market activity between themselves.

For instance, last season, the defender Eric Garcia and the midfielder Pablo Torre joined Míchel’s team on loan, while the midfielder Oriol Romeu joined the Blaugrana team and Pau Victor joined Barcelona Atletic.

In the last summer transfer window, Romeu returned to Girona and the youngster Oscar Urena joined the Blaugrana B team.

This relationship is expected to continue in the upcoming summer transfer window, as Fichajes reports that Míchel is interested in strengthening his team, and has two out-of-favor players from the Azulgrana team in his mind for this purpose, i.e., Ansu Fati and Pablo Torre.

The 22-year-old forward has once again been unable to get a lot of minutes this season, mainly because of injuries but also because he has not really been able to convince Hansi Flick to give him minutes on the pitch.

Thus, despite his reluctance to leave Barcelona, there is a high possibility of his departure next summer. Míchel still believes in Fati’s talent and believes his speed, unbalancing ability, and finishing skills can provide a boost to his team’s attack. Thus, a loan to Girona can be a good move for all the involved parties.

Meanwhile, Pablo Torre also has not had a lot of prominence at the Blaugrana club this season, even though he has impressed with his performance and efficiency whenever given the chance to play. Míchel believes he will fit perfectly in his system and his arrival would bring more dynamism and fluidity to their build-up.

Barcelona also understand that both these players need more minutes on the pitch to continue making progress in their careers, and thus, a loan, or even a full transfer, is not ruled out for either of these players. Meanwhile, Girona can take advantage of this situation.
