Erling Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, made headlines all around the football world this week when he claimed that only ten clubs in the world could even afford the player.
Raiola made another claim that no sporting director or manager of those aforementioned ten clubs would even consider rejecting a move for the Norwegian.
Haaland has been nothing short of sensational since he dove into the world football scene with his astounding nine-goal effort in the 2019 U-20 World Cup but sporting director Michael Zorc isn’t worried about losing him just yet.
“Such statements don’t annoy me at all, and I don’t think he caused a stir with them at all. There’s no dissent there at all,” he said in Dortmund’s pre-match press conference.
“That was a normal statement from him. It’s clear as day to everyone that Erling Haaland cannot, doesn’t want to, and won’t move to just any club at some point after his time at Borussia Dortmund.
“We are happy that we have Erling here, that he has also scored more goals in recent games, and has proven his value to us.
“I can only say that we continue to plan with him.”
Haaland’s record at Dortmund has been breathtaking, scoring 43 goals in as many games.
