According to a report in the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise is set to turn down a move to Arsenal as he plans to stay at the Eagles next season.

The Frenchman joined the South London club in July 2021 from Championship side Reading for a fee believed to be in the region of €9.30m.

The 21-year-old has scored two goals this season whilst providing eight assists in 33 appearances.

The Gunners reportedly see Olise as a back-up for Bukayo Saka due to his experience in the league and ability to cut in off the right onto his favoured left foot.

Olise feels settled at Palace and ‘wants to develop and gain consistency by staying at the club next season’.

Following the departure of Patrick Vieira, the Eagles have won three successive games including a 5-1 victory versus Leeds United at Elland Road and now appear to be safe from relegation.
