Michael Olise could well be a Premier League Player of the Season nominee come May.

The Crystal Palace forward was a target for Chelsea in the summer and it’s easy to see why.

Olise has scored two this afternoon to see Palace lead Brentford 3-1.

It means that the 22-year-old has now been involved in 12 goals in his last 16 games for Roy Hodgson’s side.

But what’s been a good day for Palace has made a terrible festive period even worse for Brentford.

Defeat here in south London would mean five losses in a row for Thomas Frank’s men.
